Conservation & Restoration at The Presbyterian Church. Coshocton, Ohio
The Presbyterian Church came to Franklin with their dome in serious need of restoration. The dome was original to the sanctuary and was estimated to have been created in the early 1900’s. It was believe to not have had any maintenance on it since its initial installation. The dome was in such serious need of repair that there was a concern of pieces falling from the dome which is located approximately 70 feet off the sanctuary floor. The dome restoration was difficult due to the size and location of the dome, it had a 20’ diameter with a 6’ rise in the dome and it consisted of 33 individual panels. The restoration was completed in early 2009.
