Poppies Tote Bag

Featuring vibrant red blossoms, the Museum’ Store’s Tiffany Poppies Tote is based on Louis Comfort Tiffany’s (1848–-1933) leaded glass and bronze “Poppy Lamp”. Louis Comfort Tiffany is celebrated today as one of the most influential designers of the late 19th and early 20th centuries. Recently discovered correspondence suggests that Tiffany designer Clara Driscoll actually designed most of Tiffany’’s leaded glass lamps and many of his objets d’’art. In addition to designing, Driscoll managed a large department of young women known as the “Tiffany Girls,” who specialized in selecting and cutting glass for windows, shades, and mosaics.
