Description:
Superior RubyFluid Paste is a Petrolatum-based soldering paste that contains Zinc Chloride. The Petrolatum helps protect the solder joint against corrosive attack and the paste form insures that the flux stays put until soldering.

Applications:
Superior RubyFluid is excellent for use on Copper, Brass, Ferrous Alloys and many more metals. It is not recommended for Aluminum and Magnesium.

Directions:Superior RubyFluid Paste is generally applied using an acid brush. The flux is active between 95-315°C/200-600°F. Although the flux is self-cleaning, it is recommended that the parts first be cleaned with a rough surface. For most applications, the residues can be removed with a damp rag. However, the following cleaning steps
must be followed in critical applications:
1. Degrease with an organic solvent.
2. Rinse in hot water containing 2% HCl solution.
3. Use as many hot deionized water rinses as necessary.

Safety and Precautions:
Superior RubyFluid is a corrosive product and should be handled with care and the normal precautions taken when working with chemical products. When soldering with RubyFluid, adequate exhaust ventilation should be provided. Avoid contact with eyes, skin, and mucous membranes. Always wear NIOSH approved safety equipment when working with chemicals. Store in plastic containers away from heat. Due to the presence of Zinc, a heavy metal, disposal of post-solder residues and wash-water must be carried out in accordance with local, state, and/or federal environmental guidelines. Refer to Safety Data Sheet (SDS) for additional safety information. RubyFluid has a two (2) year shelf life.

Important Note: Due to US Postal regulations, chemicals cannot be shipped via Air or through the US Postal services. Therefore they can only travel via UPS Ground.
